2009: The Year That Was

Certainly, there are COUNTLESS things on why I should be HAPPY and THANKFUL for the year that was. And there are people that I would like to thank for making my 2009 worth remembering.

FIRST, to my family especially to my mom who is always there for me, no matter what, through thick and thin, through my ups and downs. I love her so much.

SECOND, to my friends. Ang sarap ng feeling that I had a vast social life. I had lot of friends whom I shared my effing life with. It just proved that I don't have a peoplephobia and I am not an antisocial. HAHA. Hear that?

THIRD, to my blog's frequent visitors. They are the one who inspires me to continue blogging. It's good to know that there are people who actually reads and enjoys my blog. I also want to share that hits already reached 7, 100 now. YIPEE! For me, that a freakin' achievement.

NOTE: On January 8, my blog will be celebrating its 11th monthsary.

FOURTH, to Cammille. Though I'm always giver her headaches (quote and unquote), eh pinagti-tiyagaan pa rin niya ako. How sweet? Siguro ganyan talaga kapag true love. Haha. Thank you Cammille.

PS1. This week, I'll be deleting sheeze links in my blog roll. These are either those who doesn't buzz me for weeks or those who hates me. Tsss... Bye losers!

PS2. I'll be updating this blog only once a week. On the coming weeks, I'll be busy with my thesis. But, I'll be keeping in touch with the likes of Kuya Ax to seek advices for my thesis.

We are the CHAMPION!

This is not a day for me to be humble. Yes, I'm humble but not this time (humble daw oh!). I will lift my chair as high as I could and no one can stop me because I and my fellow BUTC nursing students have something to celebrate. WOOOHOO!

V is for VICTORY

For the nth time, the Nursing Department was declared as the over-all champion of the just recently concluded BUTC Intrams 2009. And, we dominated almost all the events, from the LitMusDa competition to the Cheerdance competition, to the sporting events and even got the two highest placements in the search for Mr. and Ms. BUTC 2009. Isn't that a reason for us to celebrate?

I'm proud that I somehow contributed to this another victory for our department. If you're following my status updates in Facebook, then you know that I was one of those who represented the Nursing Department in the 'Philippine Folkdance Competition'. Though we had a limited time to rehearse but we still catapulted our way to the top. I don't have any videos or pictures of our performance but I won't apologize for that. LOL.

So, next time guys --- i'm referring to the other departments --- send more competitive participants so that you will have more chances of getting a friggin' trophy. If you can't, then it is much better if you will not just participate because you're not just embarassing yourselves but also you're beloved department. But, don't lose hope dudes, there's still next year. But don't think that we will make it easier for you guys to win. No way! *devilish laugh* You can raise your damn eyebrows as high as you can but like I told you, I won't show even the smallest hint of humility.

CHANGE TOPIC: There's another reason for me to celebrate today. Me and my 'chillspot' is celebrating our 7th monthsary in the blogosphere. YAHOO!

5 months and counting...

THIS IS NOT A DAY FOR ME TO BE MODEST. And I will not show even the smallest hint of humility. You know why? Because this is a special day for me.

All About 'EIGHT'

Summer is over! And it only means one thing... 'school is here again'. BOO! Tons of homeworks. Terror(ists) professors. Mind-boggling exams. So, some of you are probably moaning and groaning because of that matter. Me too! Honestly, the only thing I'm looking forward about this whole 'school' thing is that I'll be sleeping in my room (in the dorm) again after, well, five months.

But, these post will not be about my 'balik-eskwela' blues nor anything about school... promise!

I was tagged by Ate TSARIBA of 'lipad kuto, lipad' the day before the licensure exam. Unfortunately, I'm very busy at that time so I just promised her that I will do it as soon as I come back. But, I haven't do it until now. Promises are made to be broken (remember?)... kidding! So, I'm giving it a shot ONE MONTH LATER.

EIGHT THINGS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO...

1. ... have my haircut after, well, quite a long time

2. ... have our petition to migrate to the States be approved as soon as possible.

3. ... have my 'own' laptop at the end of the year. I hope Dad is reading this.

4. ... next year's summer affiliation in Manila.

5. ... sleep in my room in the dormitory. I can't wait to see it again!

6. ... see 'Doctrine' again.

7. ... watch 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' and 'HP 5' when it come out in theaters

8. ... CHRISTMAS! I'm so excited! LOL.

1. I woke up late, SO late.

2. Ate eggs and hotdogs for breakfast... lunch and dinner. LOL. It's my favorite! yummy!

5. Cleaned my room. It's so messy.

7. Watch the premiere of 'The Spiderwick Chronicles' in HBO.

Letters for my blog, my mom and someone else

Ok. Ok. I'll try to make this short and straight and try not to make this too BORING. I have here three messages, letters or whatever you call it, for three special girls in my life. Let's start...

FIRST, to my blog...

My baby 'chillspOt' and I celebrated our third monthsary yesterday. *blush* But I became too busy yesterday that I haven't find time to be with her. LOL. Until now she's still angry with me because of that. I'm so sorry babe. I promise that I'll just make up on our fourth monthsary. *winks*

SECOND, to my mom...

I planned to make a poem as a gift for my mom this coming Mother's Day but I have a hard time making one. It's just proved that I wasn't born with the hands and brain of a scribe. LOL. So, I just ended up writing a short message for her.

You find it CHEESY, isn't it? LOL. By the way, to all the moms out there, from the bottom of my heart, HAPPY MOTHER'S (PANATAG - Lactum) DAY!

THIRD, to someone else...

Curiosity kicked in! Maybe you got an idea but you still want to confirm if you're right. I have an option to keep you all guessing but that would be too rude of me so here she is... 'someone else'...

She's JOY (see that happy face?) but I'm fond of calling her "JENG". She's a very special friend. AHEM! It's true. We are friends for a very long time (since Grade 1).

We (accidentally) met last last night... that's Thursday night and have a small talk. I just want to tell her ---*I hope she's reading this*--- that I really enjoys being with her. After all these years, she's still the 'Jeng' that I met 12 years ago.

A Time to CELEBRATE

Dear Earthlings,

What's up? I know it's been long since the last time you heard a word from me. I know you already knew the reason and there's no need for me to repeat it.

To tell you, I really don't have the plan to post a new entry here 'til the end of the licensure exam in April 30 but a certain blogger friend, who just got home from a Cebu-Bohol getaway with his boyfriend (you know who you are), inspired me to give it a shot.

...

It's been a busy week for me (as usual!). Though, we don't have review classes last week because of the conflicting skeds between BUTC and AUL, filing of application form in PRC and graduation practices filled up our schedules.

But, despite of the hardships, there are still things that I should be thankful for:

1. I and my baby, 'Chillspot' are celebrating our 2nd monthsary TODAY. I know that for some, who celebrated its 100th year or so (LOL!) in the blogger's world, it's nothing, but for me it's 'SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT'.

I want to thank this opportunity to thank you, my dear readers, for your undying support. Thank you to my blogger friends, Ate Chyng, Zara of Malaysia, Ruthie Tuttie, Donna and all. A BIG HUG to all of you!

2. Two days ago, I made my mom proud(I hope so!) when I joined the 160+ others who graduated in Midwifery. Cheers!

GOOD NEWS: All I need to do is pass the licensure exam *fingers cross* and VOILA , .poOt! is a Register Midwife. An addition to young professionals in the blogger's world.

I'm BACK!

It's been 18 days since my last post. And being gone for the past two weeks or so made me miss yo a lot. (I expect you miss me too. haha.) I'm just trying to be busy right now. *laughs* Have I mentioned before that I'm taking up a review class? It's a sort of preparation for the Licensure Exam for Midwives. We've started couple of weeks ago, Feb.19 to be exact, and because the review demands 'REAL EFFORTS' unlike in school, we are BUSY (or not). Like right now, I'm studying for our OB exam tomorrow and errrr... dividing my time for the OB exam and hitting the computer isn't a simple thing to do. Take note of that!

By the way guys, I didn't planned that this post will be as BORING as this. My original plan (if you call it a plan) is to make this post SUPER SPECIAL 'coz my "chillspOt" turns 1 month old today. hep hep hooray! You know I'm trying to be happy but I just can't. And the worst is, I don't know why. Maybe because the news about the death of my idol Francis M. still lingers on me. And, celebrating while the whole country is mourning isn't the best thing to do. Or maybe because I've learned that my former girlfriend have already found a new prince. *sniffs* But, I should be happy for her. I should be happy for both of them. But it seems that what I'm feeling right now is exactly the opposite. I can't even smile thinking about it. Am I being too overacting? Maybe not. Or am I JEALOUS? No, I can't be jealous. It's been 3 years and I have moved on (that's what I know). Am I still in love with her? What you think?

Guys, I need to go. It's already 5:30 PM. haha. I'm leaving you a video of singingdork888 singing a boy version of Swift Taylor's "Love Story". You gotta love him 'coz starting today you will be hearing a lot of his songs here.
